This week's Auxo Spotlight is on Mike Driesen, Co-founder and Head of Solutions Engineering! Learn more about Mike and all his insights through our conversation.
I started my career as a software engineer at large investment banks in New York City, working on regulatory tech for their trading systems. Then in August 2019, I joined Unqork as a Solutions Architect. I had the pleasure of working there for three and a half years, both on large client implementations in the insurance and financial services space, and on the go-to-market product team, building reusable solutions on the Unqork platform.
Probably a classic answer, but there is no typical day for me! Every day is different, which I really enjoy.
I am definitely focused on scaling my team, and working to build out more assets to show off the brilliant minds at Auxo Solutions.
The people who work at Auxo are incredibly smart and motivated. They have such strong ownership over their work and projects. Overall, being a part of our journey from just 2 employees to now and seeing how we have grown has been a truly awesome experience.
My role contributes in multiple ways. One would be working with the Client Partners and our Go-To-Market team at Auxo to arm them with whatever they need to get our messaging and value proposition across to potential new customers.
One way is constant communication with the Unqork team. I’m always working with their platform team to understand the latest features and how we can pass the updates and enhancements along to our clients.
My thought is that there will be a set of very targeted vertical platforms/products that will each solve a certain problem extremely well. Core to the technology landscape will be connecting all of them to make seamless enterprise solutions.
So if you have an industry that has a lot of functionality across different capabilities, instead of having one large system that does everything, there will be many individual tools that have unique offerings. As a result, there will need to be engineers, tools, consultants, and frameworks to string these fragmented services together in a logical way. I also see this as a good place for AI to play a part, both in each capability but also in the connective layer.
If you know me you probably know I bike a lot. This past summer, I went on a trip with my dad to Girona, Spain to go riding for a week. It’s definitely not the first (or last) time I will have taken a trip to ride in a new place!
